5 Months Old!!

You are 5 months old today! It's so hard for me to believe that you are already almost 1/2 year old. I fall more and more in love with you every day. You are a complete joy and cherub.

 Things you are doing developmentally:
* Sitting up on your own for short bits of time (less than a minute)
* Rolling over from you tummy to your back
* Grabbing your feet
* Following people around the room with your head when they move
* Enjoying tummy time and pulling yourself up with your arms
* Laughing more frequently

 Fun things that you are doing that I love:
* You have started nursing and then pulling off and rolling to your side to look around and then rolling back over to start nursing again. It is very cute.
* Somewhat flirting when people talk to you. You smile at them and then bury your face into my shoulder to hide.
* Talk constantly when you are playing on your own. I think you do it to get attention.
* You now know how to work all of the toys on your exersaucer.
* You grab at everything now and if you can't grab it then you hit it. If you can you put it in your mouth to explore it and taste it. It is adorable and also frustrating at times, but I love it!

Your Picture Post for 4 Months

I have found that I am spending so much time enjoying you and your adorableness that I haven't done well at posting blogs or pics. Your 5 month 'birthday' is coming up here soon so here are is the last set of pictures for while you were 4 months. As you may notice most of these pics are with you laying on your belly practicing tummy time. You really LOVE tummy time now. That and there are a few pics of you with your giraffe. That is Sophie, she is a teething animal. You have also really started teething like crazy and are always chewing on your hand or anything else you can get in your mouth.

Jewish Deli Days

We took you to your first Jewish Deli Days this week. We got to go on a little walk to the Jewish Synagogue (it is very close to our house). You listened to the music and every time the drums were hit you would blink your eyes from it. Next year we promised the girls that we would let you gnaw on a giant kosher dill pickle. For this year you were resigned to just watching us eat. We got some cute pictures of you though.  :o)

You Are My Sunshine... Literally Every Day

So what I am going to write about is something that I have been telling people and also thinking internally for months now and I realized all of a sudden that I hadn't actually written to you about it and really you are the one person that I want to know about it. So here it is my darling boy...

You are my sunshine! I used to wake up in the morning and frequently be grumpy. Your mom is NOT a morning person if she doesn't get to sleep in until she is ready to get up. So, consequently Monday through Friday I was usually not in the best of moods in the morning. If you were lucky, once I had taken a shower I was in a decent mood. Now though, I am constantly waking up in a good mood - and you are the reason why! You are literally my ray of sunshine and it is literally impossible to wake up in a bad mood when I wake up to the huge grin that you see below. I literally took this picture right after you woke up one morning.

One morning in particular was particularly tender and one that I never want to forget. I have been feeling under the weather this week and thus your Dad and I were sleeping in separate rooms because he didn't want to get sick since he is trying to look for a job. So, you and I were in the bed by ourselves. The alarm had gone off but I hadn't quite woken up yet. Instead, I woke up to you making cooing noises and sighs. It was the sweetest sound to wake up to. Then I looked over at you and said "good morning!" and you just grinned at me. You followed that up by a coo and then you reached out to sweetly touch my face. You and I spent the next few minutes just cuddling and "talking" to each other. And that is why, I will never wake up in a bad mood again if I have you to greet me in the morning.

4 Month Doctor Appointment

You had your 4 month doctor appointment on Thursday. Unfortunately you have been to the doctor more than just the three times for your check ups (2 week, 2 mo, 4 mo) because you have been sick so much we have already been to the doctor two other times. This time you were finally better though. You got a second set of shots and took them like a champ. You did cry, but only momentarily and you acted about the same this time as you did during your last set of shots. A little fussy during the day and evening and wanting to be held, but at least you didn't develop a fever.

Your 4 Month Stats Are:
Height: 25 1/2"   80th percentile
Weight: 16 lbs  3 oz   80th percentile
Head Circumference: 16 3/4"   60th percentile

Picture Post for 3 Month Photos

You are now officially 4 months and I am running behind on posting pictures of you from while you were three months. So here they are! You got SUPER cute during your third month. Not that you haven't been this whole time, it just seems that with each passing day you get cuter and cuter!

This one was taken right before you turned 4 months.

We went to the food truck rally one day and I dressed you up in this cute little outfit. Your dad said you looked like an old man ready to go golfing. I think you looked adorable!

This is your notorious pouty face. You have done this for a long time, but it took us quite a while to catch it on camera.

You love tummy time now. Your beautiful blue eyes are to die for in these pics.

Smiling at mom!

Happy 4 Months Big Boy!

You turned 4 months last Thursday. In the past few weeks you have started to do a bunch of new things. Every day you amaze me with you smiles, your curiosity, and personality.

Things you are doing developmentally right now:
* Starting to teeth (no teeth yet, but definitely teething!)
* In just the last few days you are starting to sit up for short bits on your own
* Playing with your feet and grabbing them
* Following me around the room with your eyes and head
* Spinning the toys on your exersaucer
* Learning to go to sleep on your own without me putting you in your bed already asleep
* Laughing for short bits of time
* Finally enjoying tummy time

What you are doing right now that I love:
* The game I talked about earlier when you are eating with me and you pull away and smile
* Seeing you follow me with your eyes and head as I walk around the living room
* Playing peek a boo with you and watching you grin when we 'reappear'
* Listening to you 'talk' and make noises constantly either in the morning or when you are in my arms. It's like
   you are carrying on a conversation with me.

Pictures of you over the past few weeks to come soon. I am falling behind in blogging because I want to spend every moment you are awake and I am home with you because of how much you are changing. I will catch up soon though! I love you little man.

Below are a few pics of bath time though from right around your 4 month mark.
