We stopped at Westside Drive In on the way out. Where we shared an 'ummy' shake. We got to the dunes at the perfect time. We were able to climb up the soft sand while the sun was up and the sand was cool. We got some beautiful pictures (Jake and Jessica went with us) and you loved playing in the sand. We slid down the side of the dune together. As we climbed back up I literally had to carry you. To which you prodded me by saying "c'mon Mommy, lets go!" As of it to tell me I was moving way too slow. We all laughed. When you and I got back up to the top of the dune you gave me a hug and said "that was fun!" Oh the moments I live for right now.
The observatory part was fun but a little challenging. They had an hour long presentation before looking at the telescopes. You weren't much for sitting of course so we walked around outside while we waited for this part. At the end we got to look through a handful of different telescopes pointing to Jupiter, Saturn, a galaxy, and Venus. I can't tell if you really saw anything in them. It didn't seem like it. Then we went into the large telescope observatory and saw Saturn through it. It was pretty spectacular. The only bad part about the trip was the fact that we didn't know there would be so many mosquitoes. We swatted them away as they swarmed our face and skin until we finally managed to get some repellent from the observatory. We left at just the right time, a large wind storm kicked up right as we rushed back to the car.
