Grandpa bought an airplane last year.
You got to go on it once already with Dad, but I haven't gotten to
go. So we finally had our chance. Grandpa had to take the airplane
between Caldwell and Nampa for an inspection so we tagged along.
Unfortunately Grandpa didn't know what hangar to take the plane to so
we ended up driving around the Caldwell airport for almost an hour.
You were so good and so patient in the car. I was very proud of you,
even though the suspense was killing you to go to the plane, you made
it. This delay turned out to be a good thing though because it was
dumping rain and we weren't going to be able to go up anyway. By the
time we finally got to the plane the sky had cleared and we had a
beautiful flight.
You were very quiet on the plane as if
you were taking everything in. I must admit it is much different
being in a plane like this where you can really distinguish the
ground to flying in a commercial plane at 10,000 feet. I think you
realized the awe and beauty in this and were taking it all in.
Below are a few of the pictures. You
are quite intrigued with umbrellas as of the moment and spent the
time after the flight opening and closing the umbrella. You were
quite proud of yourself.
