We went camping this past weekend. Let me tell you I was a little nervous about going. Yes we went last year but you weren't walking/running everywhere. We also wanted you to sleep on your own in the pack and play. So I was worried about you falling everywhere and worried about you freezing to death. Of course you were fine.
Your weekend consisted of throwing rocks in the river (often times this involved trying to get into the river to which we had to hold you back), throwing the ball for Bailey, playing bags, and following everyone around. You had such a blast. You were able to have your first taste of roasted marshmallows and soda (by accident, I thought I was giving you flavored water) both of which you absolutely loved.
Although you did fall frequently, you didn't get hurt. And while you did fall you progressively got better at navigating the rocks as the weekend wore on since you finally realized you needed to look down at the ground as you walked. As for sleeping, the first night you didn't stir once in your pack and play! I was up constantly checking on you to make sure you were warm, you must have loved being all snuggled in there though. Your Dad and I sure froze but you were toasty warm which was all that mattered. On day two you actually slept from about 10:30pm until 10 the next morning - which is amazing for camping! Most people don't sleep that long, but I think you were pretty worn out from the previous day's activities.
