My absolute favorite thing you say right now is "my love you." You are the sweetest little boy and frequently tell me all on your own how much you love me. Whether it is when you wake up in the morning, or when I pick you up from daycare or Nana's. It melts my heart every time you say it. I will cherish the fact that right now it is perfectly imperfect. Although I want to teach you proper grammar, the fact that you say "my" instead of "I" is so pure and sweet that I don't care how long it takes for you to finally figure out it should be I love you.
The other fabulous thing about when you say "my love you" is it usually means it comes with snuggles. You love to snuggle and you love to give and receive hugs. I never get tired of your love. Just tonight you were leaning on me while we were on the couch and I asked if you would scoot over a little because I was trying to study. Your response was "No! My want to hug you more!" Hugging is synonymous with snuggling for you and with that response I couldn't do anything more than move my laptop to the side and snuggle you even more.
"My" also comes out in other ways like "No, my do it!" and "My hurt myself." That last one is also a favorite of mine.

Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic
This weekend was the balloon classic in Boise. I was super excited to take you to see the hot air balloons. You and I went on Friday night for when they light up all of the balloons simultaneously in the park. You thought it was awesome and were very excited when you could see the fire inflating the balloons.
Then on Saturday morning we went back again with Dad to watch all of the balloons launch simultaneously. It was really neat seeing them all take off. You wanted to go up in one. Next year I hope that we can take you up in a tethered one, as they do have a kids day where you can do this. After watching the launch we got to go to out to breakfast at the Pantry with Jake and Jessica.
You just this morning if you could go see the balloons again. I had to explain to you that we only get to see the balloons launch like that once a year. This is the hardest concept for you right now as you asked the same thing about the fireworks after 4th of July. At least I know when you think something is fun.

Summertime Fun
Here are some pictures of us enjoying summer time...
Playing in the pool at Jessica's aunt's house. You love their house. Ever since we went you will randomly ask me if you can go to Jessica's aunt's house. I have to give you props for having good taste and knowing what I class is!
Camping up in McCall. This happened to be the only picture we got on the trip since I left my camera at home. Needless to say you were covered in dirt on this camping trip all the time.
Hiking up Camel's Back. What a beautiful view.
Lunch with our buddies. You guys were playing around with my camera phone taking pictures.
Another Mommy and Marcus hike. You happened to fully submerse yourself into the river water on this hike. I couldn't do anything but laugh.
A visit to Eagle Island Park for a swim and a picnic. We went on a walk and you loved swimming in the water and playing with the sand on the beach area.
Playing at the park in the neighborhood. You call the volleyball pit the sandbox.

4th of July
The 4th of July was so much fun this
year. You were able to stay up until 11 to watch fireworks and you
had quite a few friends to play with. You got to spend the day with
Nana and Popper playing in the backyard until Dad and I were done
floating the river. Then we headed home to get ready for the BBQ. You
had Sean, Caitlin, and Meagan's girls Bella and Zoe to play with.
Then Uncle Matt, Aunt Tina, Uncle Chris, Aunt Tiffany, Uncle Grae,
Janne, Jake, and Jessica were also there.
The 4th of July fun consisted of water
balloons, water guns, a slip and slide, the pool and of course
fireworks. The fun wore you out. You slept in until 9 the next
morning and then almost 10 on Sunday. When I asked you this weekend
what your favorite part of the 4th were, you replied with “Uncle
Matt.”
Look at how cute all you kids were dressed up in your red, white, and blue!
Picture of Mommy and Daddy
This was the best I could get with you. As hard as I try to re-create our first 4th of July picture I just can't.
Sparklers with Mom and Dad.
Uncle Grae bought us a ton of fireworks. These were just a couple of them.
Hanging with Sean watching the fireworks.
Sweet cousin Caitlin
Sparkler time! You did burn yourself on them as you touched the end on purpose. You didn't cry though but you were definitely distraught over it.
Water fun with the kids in the backyard.
The watermelon cake mommy made. You loved this and asked for it for breakfast and lunch the next day. I let you since it was mostly fruit with a little bit of whipped cream on it. It was a hit with you and the whole party.

A Picture Update For the Month of June
Below is our month in pictures. We was a pretty busy month with lots of trips over the weekends. We did go camping one weekend but I forgot my camera, so we will have to wait to get pictures from Tina for the camping trip. It was a great time though.
Dad's friend Tony and his family moved to Maryland in June. We were fortunate enough to get to go up to their parent's cabin in Cascade with them the last weekend they were here. Below is a picture of you and Levi in the morning. You had so much fun playing with Lexie and Levi. We went on a hike, had a campfire and played cars in the dirt.
It was finally nice enough the beginning of June that I was able to take you to Settler's Park to play in the water. I love these pictures of you. Wow though they make you look grown up. You are getting so big!
A picture of you and me in the car on the way to Warm Lake for our camping trip with Matt and Tina.
This is your blanket you got from Matt and Tina for your birthday. You didn't want anything to do with it when you got it. Now you love it and you look super cute in it.
G-Ma sent you a Bumblebee t-shirt in the mail last week. You were beyond excited. You instantly had to put the shirt on and proceeded to wear it to bed, then to daycare the next day, and then to bed again that night. You showed off your shirt to everyone. Below are a few pics from the evening. It was cute because after every picture you would tell me you wanted to see the picture.
We took you to Trader Joe's tonight to buy picnic stuff for our trip to the park. They have mini shopping carts just your size and you LOVED it. As a little girl I remember shopping with Great Grandma and a store having these. It made shopping so much fun, so I was excited for you to be able to push it around. I must admit I was a pretty proud mommy with your food choices too. You chose to fill your shopping cart with broccoli, bananas, yogurt, and apple juice.
Below is a picture from the MK Nature Center we took of you.
